Ourdays ("the App") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what the App collects and how that information is handled.
An account is required to use the App. We collect the following.

If you use Sign in with Apple and choose "Hide My Email," we receive only the relay address Apple issues. The App never learns your real email address.

About location. The App does not track your device's location continuously. We store only the coordinates of places you yourself save to a memory.
When you pick a photo, if it carries a capture date or capture location, we may offer that as a starting value in the form. It is recorded only if you go on to save the memory.
Metadata such as camera details and capture location (EXIF and similar) is stripped from photos before they are uploaded.
We will not use your information for any other purpose without your consent.
We do not sell or provide your personal information to third parties, except where required by law.

About place name lookups. The place name you typed is sent to OpenStreetMap's search service only when you tap the magnifying glass on the memory form. In addition, when you save a memory (including setting the area you live in) without having picked a place from the suggestions, the place name text is sent to your device's operating system (Apple on iOS, Google on Android) to resolve its coordinates. If you picked from the suggestions, no such request is made. In both cases only the place name text is sent — never your account information, your photos, or your device's current location. Nothing is sent as you type; requests happen only when you tap the magnifying glass or save.
The App is built around two people sharing a single board.
Anyone connected to you as a partner can view the memories, photos and notes saved to that board. A board is shared only with the person you hand an invitation code to.
Invitation codes are stored as cryptographic hashes; the original code is never retained.
Data is stored on servers in Japan (Tokyo).
If you delete your account, there is a 30-day grace period after you request it.
The grace period exists so that memories are not lost to a mistaken tap.
If you share a board with a partner, what is deleted is your own account information. The memories the two of you created are treated as the remaining user's data. Memories you saved do not disappear from your partner's screen. If both of you delete your accounts, the board is deleted along with them.
Where the law requires us to retain certain information, we keep it only for as long as required.

The App is not intended for anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
If we change this policy, we will post the change on this page. We will notify you within the App about significant changes.
Data for the App is stored on servers in Japan (Tokyo). This is the case wherever you use the App from.
